 What do you need in order to qualify for the PMP Exam?

Experience Requirements for the PMP Exam: to be accepted for the PMP Exam trainees will need:

       • 4,500 hours of project management experience over 36 months with a four-year degree / equivalent or greater or

       • 7,500 hours over 60 months with high school diploma / equivalent, plus 35 hours of project management training.

You can go back 8 years to collect the needed information.

Training Requirements: We provide the 35 hours of formal project management training including the prep needed to pass the PMP exam. Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam is changing in 2018

The New PMP Exam is changing in 2018 during the first quarter.  No date has been set yet.  We are getting a lot of calls since so many people are finding out that the new PMBOK® Guide (A Guide to The Project Management Body of Knowledge®), Sixth Edition, is coming out in September.  You will find this information on the pmi.org website under Project Management Professional (PMP)®.  PMI has already listed what you can expect to find in its Sixth Edition.

However, don't panic.  The PMBOK® Guide always comes out before the new exam comes out.  You will have time to take the current exam is still aligned to the Fifth Edition until the exam changes.

Right now, we could be 6.5 months away from the new PMP Exam or up to 9.5 months away.  So far PMI has not announced the actual starting date. 

FAQ:  Will your PMP credential become old?

Answer:  No it will not become old.  Those who took earlier or current exams update their knowledge their knowledge during every three years, and report their professional development units in order to stay current. 

FAQ:  Should I take the current exam or the next exam.

Answer:  Why wait?  It is the most globally sought after credential.  You can read the Sixth Edition once it comes out, along with any new reading suggested for the New Exam and catch up yourself, or you can take a Exam conversion class from us, which updates your knowledge.  This class happens around the time that the Exam changes.  It is good for PDUs for those who have their PMP Credential already, and it's good for those who still need to take the exam!
